Terms of Service
Last updated May 31, 2026
Prometheus is a free educational simulator. These terms set out the basic, reasonable expectations for using it. Plain language, no surprises.
What Prometheus is
Prometheus is a hands-on emissions-trading-system simulator provided for learning and research. It is offered free of charge and as is, for educational and training purposes.
No warranty
The simulator is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and nothing here is financial, investment, or policy advice. Outcomes inside a simulated market are for teaching — they don’t represent real trading.
Acceptable use
By using Prometheus, you agree not to:
- attack, overload, probe, or otherwise interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts or data;
- abuse, harass, or disrupt other participants in multiplayer sessions;
- use the service for anything unlawful.
Accounts
You’re responsible for keeping your login secure. We may suspend or remove accounts that are used for misuse, abuse, or attacks on the service.
Intellectual property
The Prometheus simulator, its design, content, and underlying models belong to the creator. You’re welcome to use the simulator for learning and teaching; you may not copy, resell, or pass it off as your own.
Changes and availability
This is an actively developed educational project. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may update these terms over time — the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the maintainer’s jurisdiction.
